Synopsis:

Sophie Bloom’s junior year has been a bit of a train wreck. After the world’s greatest kiss re-awakened Sophie’s true identity as Persephone (Goddess of Spring and Savior of Humanity), she fought her dragon-lady guidance counselor to the death, navigated mean girl Bethany’s bitchy troublemaking, and dealt with the betrayal of her backstabbing ex, Kai (sexy Prince of Darkness). You’d think a girl could catch a break.

Yeah, right.

With Zeus stepping things up, it’s vital that Sophie retrieve Persephone’s memories and discover the location of the ritual to stop Zeus and Hades. So when Aphrodite strikes a deal that can unlock Sophie’s pre-mortal past, what choice does the teen goddess have but to accept?

The mission: stop media mogul Hermes from turning Bethany into a global mega-celebrity. The catch? Aphrodite partners Sophie and Kai to work together … and treat this suicide mission as a date. Which could work out for Sophie’s plan to force Kai to admit his feelings for her–if she doesn’t kill him first.

Add to that the fact that BFF Theo’s love life and other BFF Hannah’s actual life are in Sophie’s hands, and suddenly being a teenager—even a godlike one—seems a bit like … well, hell. Whatever happened to dinner and a movie?

The YA romantic comedy/Greek mythology fireworks continue to fly inMy Date From Hell. Love meets comedy with a whole lot of sass in book two of this teen fantasy romance series. Breaking up is easy; dating is deadly.

My Thoughts:

My Date From Hell is exhilaratingly intense, full of adventures and surprises, laugh-out-loud funny and has so MANY FEELS! I need the last book in my life, RIGHT NOW!

After the explosive happenings in My Ex From Hell, Sophie and Kai are back to continue their mission of dethroning their fathers, Zeus and Hades. But they have to uncover Sophie's memories, first, to know the location where the ritual will be held. They will need Aphrodite's help to break the memory spell but the problem is, she doesn't do anything for free.

In order for Aprodite to help them, they have to stop media mogul, Jack Wing a.k.a. Hermes, from launching Bethany's career in a worldwide TV show. But when you're dealing with the god of tricksters, you shouldn't let your guard down or else, you'll find yourself in a bizarre version of chess, where sacrifice is necessary to win the game.

First of all, nothing excites me more than a fight scene at the first chapter of a book and that's what this book gave me. Tellulah made every chapter more exciting, interesting and just so engrossing that I can't stop reading it. Or in cases where I stopped, I was dreading every second that I'm not reading it.

Sophie and Kai's chemistry was more electric and hotter here than in My Ex from Hell and I am loving every moment that they were together. Sophie's bestfriends, Theo(Prometheus) and Hannah(mortal) joined the adventure wagon once again and they now, have their own romance thing going on with Festos and Pierce, whose also Greek personalities but I'm not going to tell you who they are. They are the kings and queens of hilarious quips and banters, whenever all of them were together.

My Date from Hell exponentially upped all the things I loved about My Ex From Hell - the fast-paced story, the kick-ass fight scenes, the uber adorable and hilarious characters, the fun and entralling narration, and the swoony romance that I can't get enough of. It also upped the intensity of the cliffhanger which left me speechless and flabbergasted after reading it. A really cruel yet effective ending that will make everyone beg for the last book in the series.

Overall, this is a must-read for everyone and a to-die-for read for all myth and fantasy lovers out there.
